FAQ
What airport do I fly into?
I suggest you fly into Athens (airport code: ATH) and then take a ferry to the island of Amorgos. The first day of the retreat is June 3rd with check-in after 2pm local time, so I recommend that you plan your arrival to give you ample time to travel to Amorgos. You can either take a direct 7 hour ferry from Athens to Amorgos (I heard it is a very comfortable and smooth ride) or you can island hop and stop at some places along the way. Ferryhopper is a great resource to plan out your trip to and from the retreat center. If you need assistance feel free to contact me so I can walk you through it. Are airport transfers included in the price of my trip? No, private airport transfers are not included in the price of your trip. However, transfer to and from the ferry on the island of Amorgos is included. Whenever you arrive, day or night you will be met by a private driver and transported to the group hotel. Note: If you arrive early and decide to stay at an alternate location other than our group hotel, you will be responsible for coordinating and paying for your own transportation directly with the hotel where you will be staying. What are the accommodations like? The only 5-star hotel on Amorgos island with minimal yet luxurious room design, comforts and exceptional room service to provide you ultimate indulgence. All rooms offer amazing views of the Aegean sea and the Aegiali beach! The unique Amorgian hospitality in combination with the cycladic beauty promises you memories you will always treasure. Are meals included? Yes, 3 delicious local Amorgian meals are included daily, except for the day when we visit the Aegiali Village. Are gratuities included? Gratuities are not included in the price of your trip. However, all taxes are included. If you receive exceptional service by staff, housekeeping or other employees helping you throughout the week then an additional tip is always appreciated. I suggest tipping between 5-10%. When is check in/out? Check in is at 2pm on 6/3/19 Check out is at 12pm on 6/10/19 How many people are expected on this retreat?Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15-25 attendees is a general average. |
What is the payment and cancellation policy for this trip?
A non-refundable & non-transferrable of $500 deposit is required to hold your space. Final Balance Policy: Final payment must be received by March 3rd, 2019 and all payments are non-refundable & non-transferrable. If you cancel prior to November 30th, 2018 I will refund your payment minus the non-refundable deposit. I must strictly adhere to this cancellation policy to offset costs incurred prior to the commencement of retreat. Click here to view the Terms and Conditions to which you agree upon registration. If the participant arrives late to retreat or leaves prior to its conclusion, refunds will not be made for any unused portion of the retreat. No refunds will be made for meals, yoga classes or other activities that the participant misses or decides not to participate in for any reason. Do I need a Visa to visit Greece? No, as long as you are planning to stay in Greece for under 90 days. If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, you will need to obtain a Visa before leaving the US. For more information on this please visit the Department of State Website. IMPORTANT: If your passport expires within six months of your arrival date to Greece, please be sure to renew your passport before you go to avoid any issues at immigration. There are no exceptions. Do I need vaccinations? Just make sure you are up-to-date on all vaccinations. What if I am traveling alone? If you are traveling without a friend or partner, but prefer to share your room, I will do my best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If for some reason, we are not able to match you with a roommate, a single supplement will apply. If you prefer to have your own private room, a single supplement will apply. Do I need travel insurance? All payments are non-refundable & non-transferable. The purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental or weather-related incident or pre-existing medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels. These events are rare but do occur and underscore the importance of being covered by travel insurance. Should you elect to not purchase travel insurance, you will be assuming 100% of any costs incurred for trip cancellation or trip interruption. TravelEx and World Nomads are two reputable organizations. There is a broad spectrum of policies and options so make sure you are clear on what exactly is covered. |
