I love getting creative in the kitchen, especially with random food items I have laying around my house. I came across this recipe when all I had to make a smoothie included the ingredients below. It was the best decision ever because it tastes just like horchata! It is now my go-to smoothie, especially on a hot summer's day.
Time: 5 minutes
2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
1 1/2 frozen bananas
4 soft dates (or soak in water to soften for 2 hours)
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top and enjoy!
